This week WATG Co-Founder Vanessa Rivers hosted our fifth We Are Travel Girls London Meet Up at The Bolton Pub in Kensington. We were humbled by the amazing group of inspirational women that came out for this event – thank you to everyone who attended! Big thank you also goes out to The Bolton for hosting us at their swanky pub and helping to keep the conversations flowing with Prosecco and yummy appetizers.
During the meet up many of you asked how We Are Travel Girls came about. Becky and Vanessa met during a course at London College of Fashion and quickly bonded over their mutual love of travel and bikinis. In November 2015, Becky started the @WeAreTravelGirls Instagram page initially with the goal of simply creating a place to meet like-minded travel girls. In spring 2016 they joined to co-found the company together, June 2016 they launched WeAreTravelGirls.com, and have worked hard to make this a community to inspire, connect, educate and empower female travelers around the world!
We Are Travel Girls publishes 5 stories a week from women across the globe, so if you have an informative travel post to share please contribute a story! And last year we launched our Travel Girls Getaways offering you the opportunity to travel with us and other amazing women from the WATG community. Bookings are currently open for our Bali Retreats October 2018 and our Austrian Alps Ski Getaway March 2019! We hope too see you on one of our upcoming trips or meet ups!
