- Blog Features – As an ambassador you’ll have the opportunity to publish your travel articles on WeAreTravelGirls.com with links to your website and social networks, reaching over 8 million readers! Your WATG articles will help readers will find your blog and the backlinks to your site will help your site’s domain authority.
- Meet-Ups & Events – Our events are an incredible way to connect with other travel-loving women from around the world! As a We Are Travel Girls Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to host WATG events and we will promote you as a host across all of our social media channels reaching over 500,000 followers.
- Discounts on Travel Girls Getaways – As an Ambassador you will receive discounts on our Travel Girls Getaways.
- Co-Hosting Travel Girls Getaways – You’ll also have the unique opportunity to be a co-host on our Travel Girls Getaways.
- Media Stays – As an ambassador, you will have the opportunity to request media rates and media stays at hotels and vacation rentals that you will be featuring in travel stories you are writing for We Are Travel Girls.
- Resume – Being a writer and an ambassador for We Are Travel Girls will make a great addition to your resume.
What Are Our Expectations For Our Ambassadors?
We hand-pick a small group of women from the We Are Travel Girls community to be ambassadors. As an ambassador, we will expect you to:
- Write Articles – 1-2 long form (2,000+ words) articles per quarter for WeAreTravelGirls.com
- Content Sharing – Share your articles that we publish on WeAreTravelGirls.com on your own social media accounts.
- Be An Advocate For We Are Travel Girls – Mention We Are Travel Girls & Travel Girls Getaways on your social posts where appropriate.
- Blog Promotion – Mention you are a We Are Travel Girls ambassador on your blog, either on your about page or in your sidebar with a link to WeAreTravelGirls.com.
- Host Meet-Ups & Events – Host 1 WATG Meet Up per year. Visit our Events Page to see past meet ups.
- Be Active With The Facebook Group – We would love you to be an active member of the WATG FB Group and we will add you as a moderator.
- Co-Hosting Travel Girls Getaways – We will selectively invite ambassadors to join one of our founders to co-host a getaway. This is an amazing opportunity to join one of our luxury getaways!
- Share Your Ideas With Us – We are always looking for ways to improve We Are Travel Girls and welcome any and all feedback and ideas!
How Do I Become A WATG Senior Contributor & Ambassador?
The first step is simply to become an Ambassador is to start writing for WeAreTravelGirls.com. The reason for this is that we need to have examples of your writing and photography as these are important elements of representing We Are Travel Girls.
- You can submit your informative travel stories directly on our Contribute Page, just ensure you follow all of the story and photo submission guidelines to have the best chance of being published.
- After you’ve had 3 stories published on WeAreTraveGirls.com you will be eligible to be considered as an Ambassador. Please note, typically we will personally invite women to become an Ambassador based on their published content. However. If you are interested in the program and would like to be considered then please email [email protected] to express interest. In your email please explain why you believe you’d be a good fit to represent We Are Travel Girls.
