Savannah, Georgia is a town I love to classify as mysteriously gorgeous. Walking down the streets, you know there is such rich history embedded in all aspects of Savannah.
From the swaying moss of the Southern Live Oak Trees to the uneven cobblestone roadways, Savannah is full of charismatic charm. This is why Savannah quickly became my favorite city for an unforgettable girls getaway.
In this article I am giving you all my favorites of this mesmerizing city!
DRINKS AT ROCKS ON THE ROOF
Every girls weekend has to start off with a little pop, fizz, clink action on the rooftop. Am I right?! Cheers!
Rocks on the Roof at The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront is a must if you want to experience savory cocktails, an eclectic ambiance, and an unforgettable Savannah view. Nothing beats sipping cocktails with your girls while overlooking the golden Savannah sunset.
Drink suggestion: Try the green tea shot! It’s uniquely refreshing!
BREAKFAST AT BACK IN THE DAY BAKERY
Breakfast is supposedly the most important meal of the day, and that rings true at Back in the Day Bakery!
If you are looking for delectable treats, a dainty place to eat and some of the best southern hospitality in town, Back in the Day Bakery is the place for you. It is equally delicious as it is charming.
A unique experience: Purchase one of the owner’s cookbooks. If you are lucky, the owner will be there, and she will personally sign your cookbook for you!
DRINKS AT JEN’S AND FRIENDS
Their motto? Enter as strangers, leave as friends. Now, that sounds like a fun place to me! Jen’s and Friends is THE place to have the best martini of your life. With more than 300 martinis to choose from, you are bound to find one you will fall in love with.
Suggested martini: The birthday cake martini, that comes with rainbow sprinkles, a slice of cake on the rim, and a celebratory candle!
SHOPPING AND TREATS AT THE PARIS MARKET
Ou as-tu été toute ma vie? Aka: Where have you been all my life? I would be referring to none other than The Paris Market.
Stepping into this whimsical market acts as a time machine to Paris, itself. The sights smell and feel let you live the Parisian lifestyle for just a little bit.
Take some time smelling the various candle aromas, or run your hands through the delightful textiles. Whatever you do, do not forget to try one of their exquisite macarons.
Suggested dessert: Try the s’mores macaron! You will not regret it.
RIDE AROUND IN A SAVANNAH PEDICAB
Never ridden in a pedicab before? Well, there is no better place to experience this delight than in Savannah!
It is a joy being chauffeured around in this makeshift taxi to various destinations. While there are numerous pedicabs lining the streets, Savannah Pedicabs always prevails.
Travel tip: Pedicabs charge solely based on suggested tips. They also do not take debit or credit cards, so make sure to have some cash on you.
SHOPPING IN THE BOUTIQUE STORES
Every girl’s getaway has to include some shopping! The Savannah streets are lined with one of a kind boutique stores that invite you in to peruse their curated goods.
My most coveted boutique store in Savannah? Red Clover Boutique on Bull Street. Once you have stepped foot into this boutique, you will be in awe of their uniquely adorable clothing and accessories.
Fun fact: They use canvas bags for all your goods. Way to go for helping the environment!
HAVE A TIPSY POPSICLE
What in the world is a tipsy popsicle?! One of the best inventions ever, and you can get this tasty treat at The Coffee Fox.
Essentially what you are getting is a popsicle placed in a glass of wine. Just choose the flavor of your popsicle and what type of wine you want, and you are good to go! How amazing is that?
Travel tip: You can walk the streets of Savannah and carry your drink! Always remember to drink responsibly.
DINNER AT THE OLDE PINK HOUSE
Slip on some of your best heels and get ready to step back into time for dinner and drinks at The Olde Pink House at the Planters Inn on Reynolds Square.
Exactly as it sounds, the whole outside of the restaurant is pink! Walk up the winding oak staircase, sit down at a candlelit, white-clothed table, and get ready to savor on some true southern cuisine. And beware… You may see or experience a ghost or two.
Travel tip: This is one of Savannah’s top dining destinations. You must make reservations!
DO A PEDAL TOUR
There is nothing more entertaining than pedaling around Savannah with Savannah Slow Ride.
From a pub crawl to a haunted “boos” cruise, getting all the girls together on a pedal bike will bring you nothing but laughs. This is a very unique way to see the city and explore all that is Savannah!
Pro tip: Wear comfortable and secure shoes for this!
DRINKS AND YARD GAMES AT PEREGRIN
This rooftop oasis is one of Savannah’s most hidden gems. Peregrin at the Perry Lane Hotel combines tropical feels with backyard comfort.
From the second you arrive to the second you leave, this place will give you all the happy feels. Indulge in a game of cornhole, while looking over historic Savannah, all the while sipping drinks with your favorite girl gang.
Word of advice: Do not forget your camera. This is one of the cutest places ever!
