Yesterday, myself and Vanessa Rivers hosted the first We Are Travel Girls Bali Meet Up at Motel Mexicola in Seminyak.
I recently left London to spend some time in Indonesia and Asia, starting in Bali. As luck would have it Vanessa had planned a trip to Bali with a friend and extended her stay to spend some time working on We Are Travel Girls with me. This seemed like the perfect opportunity for us to host a casual meet-up at one of my favourite restaurants in Bali, Motel Mexicola.
Despite the last minute notice, we were delighted that a small group of girls, who are travelling and living in Bali, were able to joined us for the evening. It’s exciting that the We Are Travel Girls community has grown into a place where women around the world are now able meet one another through our groups or these meet ups, and we have many more planned. Special thanks goes to Motel Mexicola for keeping our conversation flowing with delicious frozen margaritas and the best sangria in Seminyak! Motel Mexicola is an Instagramer’s dream. Every corner is individually decorated, with neon signs and walls painted with colourful murals. But you don’t just go there for the decor, the food is fabulous and the best Mexican I have had in Bali. From ceviche, tostadas, quesadilla and tacos to the extensive cocktail menu, there is something for everyone!
