The chilly Spring here in London has us dreaming of a trip back to Mykonos, Greece. Last year I visited this idyllic island and stayed at the stunning Mykonos Ammos hotel.
I booked a 5 day stay at the Mykonos Ammos hotel through Voyage Prive, one of my favourite booking sites for getting a discounted luxury package deal. Voyage Prive offers discounts on a variety of global destinations, arranging flights, airport transfers, some tours and the hotel for you.
Usually I like to book all aspects of my trip separately so I was a little hesitant and hoping the hotel looked as good as it did on the pictures. I didn’t need to worry, we were met at the airport and whisked to a white washed heaven which sits directly on the beach.
Our room was quite small, but the perfect size for two, with doors opening onto a terrace and straight onto one of the two swimming pools. Not that we spent any time by the pool as the hotel backs on to the stunning Ornos beach, an idyllic cove decorated with an array of day beds and comfy chairs to relax in and while while away the afternoon drinking cocktails to the sound of chilled house music.
The hotel has a stunning restaurant opening onto the beach where you can enjoy an amazing buffet breakfast which was included in the price, order lunch and snacks to your day bed and in the evening enjoy delicious sushi by candlelight to the sounds of ocean.
If you manage to tear yourself away there is plenty more to enjoy on this stunning island!
